What the event actually is
The Hunt is Roblox's flagship annual event series. The 2026 Mega Edition aggregates 20 era-aligned sub-games under a single event umbrella and rewards players with era badges, UGC items, and wearable hats. Players start at Year 1 (Crossroads, 2006) and progress chronologically to Year 20 (Grow a Garden, 2025); clearing all 20 unlocks the Year Infinity endgame track. The mega final is the closing showdown that declares an overall winner for the Mega Edition; the 2026 mega final has not concluded as of 2026-09-20.
Current phase on 2026-09-20
The event window opened Sept 17, 2026 (Roblox Plus early access at 9 AM PT; general access at 3 PM PT) and closes Sept 28, 2026. As of 2026-09-20 the event is in the active mid-window phase: all 20 era-aligned sub-games are live, code redemption is open, and progression is rolling. The mega final countdown has not started and the mega final winner has not been announced. The [release status page](/release-status) tracks the day-by-day phase and Plus early access details, the [sub-games list page](/games-list) shows the full 20-year chronological lineup, and the [mega final page](/mega-final) tracks the eventual outcome.
